does your husband help in the housework?
i work freelance and work at home. so whenever i see something that needs cleaning or fixing, i almost always get to it immediately and get it done. i do clean our bedroom and bath. i didn't really need the help of my husband, although if i ask him to do something, he would happily oblige.
but yesterday was a sunday. it has been a long time since i have really had a general cleaning in the room because i had been hospitalized and after that home confinement with IV. and after my IV has been taken out, i have realized that i am in my third trimester already and my tummy has grown very large now.
so yesterday, my husband and i worked in our room. i took out some stuff from my closet, rearrange the entire closet, installed shelves, cleaned the floor, cleaned the toilet and bath, changed sheets, re-did the baby decors, cleaned the floors and re-arranged more stuff. my husband was bushed, because he would keep asking me what to do next so that he could save me some effort. so anyway, we got a lot of things done because we worked together.
thankfully, we only have these areas to maintain. anyway, i am so happy that the room looks more tidy than it was before and that it is so much cleaner.
do you also share in the housework? if you are a husband, do share your thoughts here too.
take care all and God bless you! :-)

hi dear friend i usually help my mom in house work and i will always ready to do it [sunilparthan]
I'm not married yet but I do help my parents and sister with the housework especially during weekends. When my parents are away, I will do most of the housework since I cannot stand untidy home. I'll do things like cleaning the desks, tables, floors, throwing the rubbish, wiping the ceiling fans (if they're very dirty), prepare breakfast, cook dinner (when I am not busy), flower the plants, etc. I will spend like half a day on Saturday to do all these things but don't expect me to work on them during weekdays since I'll be very tired from my work. Ocassionally my husband helps me with the house work but for the most part I do it being that I'm the one home most of the time. After a hospitalization or the such he picks up around the house thankfully. As a little side note the redocorating, rearranging the closet, and all of those things you stated you did seems as though your in the nesting stage of pregnancy preparing for your bundle of joy. congrats. Not really - not the general cleaning and washing. It's only the so-called heavy duty stuff, like painting, fixing or repairing anything, garden works. And ya, washing the floor of our master bedroom - he does the scrubbing once in a while! lol [lazeebee]
hi spoiled..most of the time my husband to the housework..he is a good cleanerlol and if he map the floor 3or 4 times he can also help me tp put the clthes to the washing machine and dry it afterwards..he also do some washing dishes..but he cant do it if my mother inlaw was there.. [marketing07]
Your husband is very nice. My husband and I will share the housework. As it is not fair for me to finish the housework all by myself. Since we are couples, then we shall share it. Actually we had talked about it before marriage. This is better as it may avoid some arguments about this issue after marriage. I love China [youless]
We always do the sharing of house work because we are both working outside to earn so there is no maid at all to do our household chores. We have kids but they are too busy in their studies and during weekend we are all together working inside our home. cleaning all the dirt that stained in our wall and many more to do inside and out. All of us are required to work. [mods196621]
Hi, congratulations on you to become a mother. All members in my family need to do housework everyday.I am responsible for washing the bowls, wash and cut the Vegetables and meat and so on.I am tired of these jobs. But my sister or brother would not like to change with me. Because they think my work is too hard. One of them only cooks and stir-fry every meal.Another one tidies up the rubbish only after the meal and sweeps hygiene once every week.Sometimes I will complain. But unhelpful. So I have to work obediently, Haha.Just unsatisfied little by little. [zandy985186]
Good for you! My ex-hubby prefer to sleep! lol I was actually an unpaid helper before, I do all the housework, hahaha! But oh well, that's the past. I'm glad I got away. Hey! Take good care of that hubby of yours, he's a real sweet man to be helping out [maple_kisses]
No, my husband does not share in my housework. That is the only thing I grudge him. It sometimes becomes too much for me but then he either comes back late in the evening or on Sundays, he wants to take some rest or go to the market or do some of his personal office work. So all the housework is left to me. [sudiptacallingu]
You are the happiest woman.Your husband is great. My boyfriend doesn't do anything before, but these days ,he always help do the housework,i don't know why ,but i am so happy. [chenella0811]
My husband and I have always shared the housework. We both work from home so we get to spend a lot of time together. When it is time to do household chores, we do our share. My husband is a good cook so he does most of the cooking while I do most of the cleaning. Taking out the garbage is another thing though. My hubby gets to take out the garbage. I hate to do that job so he has no choice but to do it. LOL [alindahaw]
Hello spoiled311, My husband is getting lazier nowadays. Last time, he would helped me out with the house chores. But now, I need to ask him many times and then only he will do the stuff. When I asked him why he changed, he told me that he has wife now that can help him with the house chores and why need to worry? He better concentrates on making more money. Well, I think it is just a pure lazy at his part. That's only a reason...surrender [gr8life]
unfortunately, many women like me do everything alone... most of the time, because my husband work more than me outside the house. So we try to spend our time together differently ! not doing housework ! [secretsdemaman]
if yr wife work in office y u cant help her working in house u shud help each other [kRehan007]
Dear friend, After the person I married left us I and my parents have to manage all in house and my parents are bit old too. In our it is a team work and we manage it well with our team work. I help my mum in Kitchen and other household works. Also my father too help us in his own way. A totally team work.happy [SHAMRACK]
Actually my wife and I have a system and when something new comes up or if we want to change the system we just tell the other person, and they respond with our new task. For example, my wife has always done the bathrooms, i always do laundry of going to washer and swapping it out dryer but then she folds, I do kitchen etc. Recently she bought pots and pans that cannot go in the dishwasher, so I said she has to wash those I will deal with anything that goes in the dishwasher, and I was informed I now have to clean the toilet, but toilet only she still has to do the bathrooms. We share, it just depends overall dishes dusting and vacum are also split I generally vacuum though and she generally dusts. We share, when we clean house we do it together. We both like our house clean, during the week we are kind of lax but then Friday night Saturday morning we are on it. [mjbelluto]
yes, when we do stuff like you did, on a saturday or whatnot but not through the week that much. i must say that he does all the cooking around our house so i do laundry and we try and get our kids to pitch in too. [cher913]
hi spoiled, I am the one who does the cleaning around the house because I fully believe in the saying.. if you want something done right.. do it yourself. I have let my hubby clean the house before but it's not the way I like it done. I have a weeks schedule made out for myself every week and I follow it. There are a couple things I get my hubby to do which are scooping the cat litter and taking out the garbage when it needs to be taken out. He doesn't mind doing that so it's all good. Have a nice day [nixxi76]
oh yes... my hubby also shares in the housework but i have to tell him what to do as well... both of us are working full time and it is impossible for me to clean the house by myself... i will be too tired if i do that and my hubby knows that... since we earn money together, i think it is just fair if we do the household work together as well... take care and have a nice day... [lingli_78]
I think my partner would happily help me with anything. He's a real sweetheart and I have never heard him say something like 'women's work' or really, any stereotypical comment about women. He's a rare gem, one of a kind, and number one in my book. [RubyRipple]
since we both work, it's a family effort. each child is responsible for their own room and share the work in the bathroom. we all pitch in with the kitchen, living room and dining room. i take care of our room and bathroom. when i have to work and he's off, he'll "straighten" things up but will make sure the kids get their chores done. [angelwithkids]
My husband and I do share alot of the house work, but I mainly do most of the work around here. Because my husband works forty hours a week and I am the only one home since I am now out of work and looking for work. But I know before when we used to both work, we shared the household chores. I do not mind that I do the most work, because I am the only one home at the time. [trisha_nava82]
Yeah, my husband does help me in the housework, we actually share the housework, as both of us are working. Since I am pregnant and work at home now, so I have more time staying at home, and I do most of the housework now. Unless when I am tired or not feeling well, then my husband will also cook for us, and also clean the stuffs. I am really happy that my husband does housework, it's his family that trained him to do housework since he is young. Some of my male friends do not do housework at all at home, they always thought girls should do that. doh [kaka135]
