I find defrosting and cleaning the refrigerator the most dreadful household chore. i hate waiting for the ice to melt until recently when i turned on the cd player on full blast and found that cleaning was more enjoyable when i had music on. i also tried this when i was organizing my daughter's cabinet, which looked like it was hit by a tornado, and found this to be enjoyable. from then on, whenever i had household chores to be done, i do it with the radio on.

I always listen to music when I'm cleaning house. I usually have upbeat music on, and it just seems to go faster. For some reason, I seem to get a lot more done in a shorter amount of time, then if I don't have it on. I also turn off the tv when I'm cleaning, if I don't, I end up seeing or hearing something and sit down to watch it, that doesn't get anything done lol [palonghorn]
I actually usually have the TV on when doing housework, if it's a really good show, I clean during commercials. I try to put on some of my favorite movies, so I know them and don't have to commit to sitting and watching them and can do other things. [jenboops]
I like music very much and for me music is the best option to be full with enegy while doing any work.Not only homework but many other things like internet browsing,assignment work of college,newspaper reading cleaning the room etc are very enjoyable with listening music.What happens is that when you listen music and do other things then it makes you feel relaxed you can do the work more efficiently and fastly.Only the works which requires a little bit concentration must be done without music otherwise you can do any other work with listening music. yes, its more fun to do the chores with music on because it makes you forget how many have you accomplished and how many are yet to be done. it works for me too. its like hitting two birds in one stone. you enjoy the music and finished the chores without feeling grumpy and irritable. it is also a way of energizing for me so i can face more stressful and complicated chores with my batteries charged. I do find listening to music makes chores a bit more bearable. I live in a studio apartment, which isn't too bad. Sometimes I get so busy, that I don't have time for cleaning. To me (since i am quite a music junkie myself), everything seems more enjoyable while listening to music, even homework and so on, is more enjoyable once i can rock with the beat and so on.I guess that is the trend nowadays with people listening to their MP3 players and iPods everywhere they go and everything they do. The only drawback however is that you tend to lose concentration more easily and become more inefficient as a result. [soccnut]
Oh yeah i totally agree with that. I usually turn on my PS3 and let it run a playlist with all my MP3's saved on it when i clean the house too. It's almost like you need that extra umphf to keep you moving especially when cleaning. [dookie03]

Yes, everything I do seems easier and fun withe music in the background. Music makes me enjoy working and keeps me alive as I go around the house doing all the household chores. Music really makes me feel different. Silence in the house makes me feel lazy and sleepy. When I work I make sure I have music. I love sweet music which is soft. I don't like Rock Music and very loud sounds because it becomes noise to me. Music is like an energizer to me. I think music helps with most anything. You aren't concentrating so hard on just the task at hand. Music gives us all freedom. I think music helps time pass more quickly. Yes, I do agree with that, it really works on me. Whenever I do a menial and kinda routine tasks or household chores, listening to music while I did that really makes me appreciate it and kinda works fast in it. Yes, housework is more enjoyable with music on, and when the family is gone. That way they aren't messing up what I just cleaned. However, I find that housework is MOST enjoyable when I get my husband to do it....lol. If he thinks I'm angry at him for some reason, he will offer to do something.
