happy I love having a clean home, but there are some facets that even while I do them, I do not enjoy them. Keeping clutter under control, for instance, seems to be ongoing and I hate always messing with it. I dust, but I'm not fond of that chore either.
On the other hand, I enjoy washing the dishes, cooking, and doing laundry.
Do you enjoy housework? Or don't you like doing it.

I love cleaning everything except the bathroom. Ever since I was a teenager doing chores I get grossed out cleaning the toilets even when it looks clean. I alway bargain with my husband and son for them to do it. I even bargained cleaning the whole house and laundry bymyself so my husband can clean the bathroom. I try to by those automatic shower cleaner that sprays the tub after you take a shower and add a dropin toilet cleaner to keep it clean. And the most I will do is take a disinfectant wipe and wipe the toilet and toilet bowl handle. But the rest, someone else is doing it. My husband jokes that I need counseling for that. I hate it, but I hate a dirty house more so I do the dirty deeds. We live in the house of hay and hair here, between the hay that comes in after feeding the animals and the hair from the animals that live here , including the human ones we can clean everyday and still need to do more. [savypat]

Oh I hate housework and would rather pay someone else to do it. I ask some else to do it for me. I pay the kid down the street. She come in every two weeks and does my room for me and cleans. Then I pay here once one the third. [cookiecrumbles]

I do keep things clean but I have alot of clutter. Its organized butcluttered. I am in the process of downsizing since I am older......I do not replace alot of things that break down. I have alot of very old magazines I inherited. Rather than box them I am looking through them. they are mostly weightlifting magazines from the 60's 70's and some even before that I am passing on to some of the younger lifters at my gym. I d laundry but I hate to fold it and put it away but it has to be done. [muscles4me]

I enjoy cleaning the house, but it can also depend on my mood.But I can still say, I'm always on the mood when it comes to housework.I love sweeping the floor, scrubbing with the music on.I also love doing the laundry, and guess what, I am doing it hand wash.So mostly, i end up getting bruises on my hand.I do this to ensure a blemish-free washed clothes.Especially with the babies stuff, i cannot just put it inside the Washing Machine, cause it may loose thread. my house would get mess if i didn't tidy up.i can't bear to see house in a terrible mess,but my hubby still feel ok to see the mess,so i have to clear up although i wouldn't like to do sometimes.but the most of the time i like doing housework,i would feel enjoyment when we maintain the cleanliness of the house.after all this environment we have to face every day. I really like cleaning the house, but sometimes I get really stressed by it. Cause my 2 siblings who lives with me are really lazy so they don't clean at all... I specially like doing vacuum, washing the dishes and changing the sheets of our bed.. Yes I enjoy cleaning the house and doing the house hold chores, first it is less money to pay someone else to help me clean the house, second its a good exercise, and lastly it is also good to breathe the fresh air and clean house. I need a clean home, and I prefer to do the cleaning by myself instead of an hourly helper, not because I like housework, but because I have to force myself to do some physical labor. When the room is in good order, it is easy to maintain. The feeling of having a pleasing residence is rewarding as well. As a lady, I also feel it the responsibility to contribute to the family. hi Karen I dont like doing housework too much and most of the time when I get home around 9 pm from work I am much too exhausted to sweep or dust or whatever and so the most needed chores have to wait till the weekend. Keeping clutter under control is difficult for me too and I try my best to get better at that. Should use my next vacations in October to get serious about that problem and de clutter my small room again (most of it is paper clutter which has piled up over the weeks and months). [book1962]

Hi, I loathe cleaning the house with a vengeance, it all seems so pointless and a never ending task though I do prefer to have the end result of a nice clean house. I love to cook but hate to clean up afterwards. Laundry does not bother me at all but ironing is a chore. It is also very difficult to motivate myself to clean when the weather is so hot, plus it's school hols so there is more clutter around. I suppose it needs a good blitz now so I shall attack it in the morning before it gets hot but i will take no delight at all in doing it. If I ever get rich I would love to have a cleaner. [thea09]

Hello my friend PeacefulWmn9 Ji, To be frank with you, more tahn me my hubby likes it. He is a strict disciplinarian and wants to see all items displayed like any show room. While in service, our house was rewarded with gold price for its cleanliness. He will clean number of times coooking platform, he wants taht it should be spotlessly cleaned . I get irritated. He wants all electrical points to be serviceable at all times. he wants , whatever items available, should be listed, even on Refrigerator, he wants to update items kept inside. Both-LOL. I absoultely love a clean house and I feel so much better as a person and a mother when the house is tidy adn clean. However, I have 3 children, and my youngest one is 2, so I do have days where I just sit in the ruckus of the messes anddon't do anything.
